Why the TruQuest Success In       Financial Services (SIFS)       Program?:

What is the TruQuest Success in Financial Services Program?

The TruQuest Success in Financial Services (SIFS) program is a professional training program specifically customized for State Farm agents who want to develop a world class financial services business within their agency. Consisting of (4) four, 8 hour sessions, held approximately 6 to 8 weeks apart, it is not a "one shot" seminar but a comprehensive training program designed to allow participants to apply the lessons as they learn.

The four part series of the program establishes the foundation of information and the practical skills necessary to compete in the financial services marketplace.

The SIFS Program includes (but is not limited to):

  • Practical investment knowledge for confidence and competence in the financial services business.

  • "Pivoting" your existing customer base to Financial Service Products (State Farm approved products ONLY).

  • Scripting yourself and staff on how to "pivot" customers and what to say in the first and second meetings.

  • Client analysis and recommending asset allocations (per LifePath Funds, Phoenix annuities, etc.).

  • The no pressure (for the client and agent) investment sales process.

  • How to effectively compete with traditional investment houses (including scripting to common questions, objections, etc.).

  • Seminar Selling (at the agent's discretion): how to attract clients, what to say, how to follow-up, etc.

  • The 80/20 rule to maximize success.

  • Strategic alliances to greatly increase sales.

The program also includes many models from the TruQuest "Wealth and Balance" Program, a top coaching program for highly successful professionals, now in its tenth year! Models include (but are not limited to):

Controllability: The participants learn a time management system designed to gain back control of their most important life activities. Days are described such as Power Days, Project Days, Play Days, PIE Days and Block Out Days. The objective of the TruQuest Time Management System is to design a plan to maximize results and make the best use of time.

"Closing Boxes": Participants learn how to minimize stress and eliminate unwanted pressures in their lives by a technique called "Closing Boxes." By doing this, they will free up more time and become much more productive.

Results Rule: Each participant evaluates their agency and staff and finds their most productive activities. They then develop a plan to focus their time on the highest productive activities and the most productive relationships. In addition, they will learn how to dramatically increase sales by focusing their efforts on strategic alliances and integrated alliances to create the greatest results.

Team Building: Each participant evaluates their support staff and related employees and devises a plan and a structure to maximize the efforts of their team. In addition, the participants will communicate his/her goals and objectives of the agency to team members and will empower the team to help reach their goals. A separate (and optional) team building day will be offered.

Why the TruQuest Success in Financial Services (SIFS) Program?: Up

Imagine if one wanted to be a professional golfer within one year. One could go "at it" on their own, buy their own clubs, hit the range and course, read magazines for tips, etc. Where would they be in a year? Ready for the PGA? Of course not. They could sign-up for a one day course and be better off than "hacking away" on one’s own, but still not ready to join the professional ranks.

Now, consider if one signed up for 7-10 months of concentrated professional training whereas, one would not only learn the specific skills of professional golf, but all the ancillary aspects of being a successful professional in that business (e.g. choosing the right agent, caddie, how to get (better) endorsements, what tournaments in which to participate, how to handle travel arrangements, how to avoid “burn out”, handle a budget, etc.) Obviously, there’s much more involved to being a professional golfer, or financial consultant, than just learning how to drive, putt, etc., or how to describe the financial products and handle the most common FAQs and objections. This is why the TruQuest Success in Financial Services program makes a such a difference!

The TruQuest Success in Financial Services program teaches agents how to “crawl before they walk, and walk before they run.” With each of the four sessions, one’s knowledge of how to become a world-class financial products consultant will be reinforced and increase, and the agents will have approximately 6-8 weeks in between sessions to actually apply the knowledge to their business. In between sessions, and at the next session, participants can network with, and support each other in their local SIFS program as to shared experiences, ideas, etc. This ongoing group support, and the overall commitment to the program will assure that one does not fall into the common trap of “The Law of Inertia;” where one starts off strong but loses focus and drive over time, and winds up, months later, still “thinking about it.”
